THERAPEUTIC CAREWORK COMPANIONS
Waddle with us — it counts as cardio!
Who We Are
We are the Houndels — Saska and Juni.
We play bite, we bite play.
We plop, pout, pose, and point. Our humans are Lulu and Greg.
They’re reimagining care.
We’re reimagining companionship.We nap hard.
We train harder.
Mostly.

What We Do
We’re learning new roles.
We’re learning cued tasks. As Therapeutic Carework Companions, we will be joining some sessions to help bodies move, stretch, and rest. Some sessions will be unsrtructured:
• puppyssage — we plop into position for pets and stay until you’re done.
• ground me — we balance you when you need steady paws.Others will be structured:
• fickle fetch — we chase toys, then drop them in random spots so you stretch and reach.
• tug / tug‑tug — we match your pull, or tug harder and let go, so you feel the difference. These cued tasks aren’t tricks — they’re ways of being with you.We are:
• calm
• friendly
• responsive
• experienced with public interaction
• and… companions with bassetudeOur bassetude is our signature — a:
• stubborn presence that sometimes stumbles
• sideways companionship that sometimes stinks
• slow participation that sometimes stares
• silly caprice that sometimes stays

Why We Matter
We’re not mascots — we’re part of the carework. Our basset bodies bring something different to every session:
• weight that steadies,
• movement that nudges,
• stretches that invite,
• stillness that holds. We don’t do the work alone.
We do it with you — through cues, games, and shared activity. Our bassetude means the work can be stubborn, sideways, slow, or silly. That’s the point: activity doesn’t have to look perfect.
It has to be real.
